About

I believe in the power of data science to improve healthcare delivery — getting the right intervention to the right patient at the right time. I first saw the impact of strengthening health systems in Bolivia, where our team at Refresh Bolivia built a clinic that serves 10k+ indigenous residents in Cochabamba. At Harvard, I worked with SV Subramanian on tying population health indicators to geopolitical units in India, and with Vikram Patel on developing low-cost mental health interventions. I previously worked on methods for analyzing observational oncology data at Flatiron Health, and was Head of Data Science at Cerebral, where my team developed data-driven tools that improve access to high quality mental healthcare to >500k patients across the US. I'm currently an MD-PhD (biomedical data science) candidate at Stanford, where I work with Nigam Shah on deploying and evaluating AI systems in healthcare. I'm passionate about language learning and teaching others how to speak new languages fluently.

Book Launch

Co-written with Howard Friedman, Winning with Data Science: a Handbook for Business Leaders is for people who work with data science teams, teaching them how to become more effective data collaborators by asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and leveraging domain expertise.
